Parent Volunteer Information

Ø     Can & Bottle – Come help sort bottles and cans at our year-round monthly drive.  We have two collection sites--BMHS and Fox Run.  We collect on the first Saturday of each month.

Ø     Celebration of Sound – This is our home band competition.  To make this a success we need everyone to pitch in!

Ø     Chaperone – Sign up with head chaperone; you'll help to organize and supervise band students to and from band competitions and other off campus band activities.

Ø     Jazz Festival – Volunteer to help with the annual Jazz show at BMHS. This isn't limited to Jazz Band parents--all band parents are welcome!

Ø     Winter Guard Show –Volunteer to help with our home Winter Guard Show, the indoor equivalent of Celebration of Sound.  This isn't limited to guard parents--all band members, and parents are encouraged to help.

Ø     Pit Crew – Transport, set-up and break down all the pit equipment for band competitions/performances.  We also need Winter Guard crews to help transport equipment to and from Winter Guard events.

Ø     Oyster Festival – volunteer to help with security at the annual City of Norwalk Oyster Festival; earn $$ towards your band account.

Ø     Norwalk Boat Show – serve at beer and wine at Exchange Club booths (MUST be over 21 years of age). Earn $$ towards your band account.

Ø     Raffle – sell raffle tickets; earn mega$$ towards your band account!
 

Ø     Shakespeare on the Sound – help with parking and lite trash pickup; earn mega$$ towards your band account!
 

Ø     St. Ann's Festival - We help pick up the trash; St. Ann's helps us with cash--earn $$ towards your band account.

Ø     Exchange Club Events - Help with admissions and parking at the Dog Show and Antique Car Show; earn $$ towards your band account.
